How to tell if a Egg is gone bad

Have you ever had eggs’ at home for a while and not sure if you can consumer the egg or if its gone bad? This is a simple test that you can do to find out if the egg is gone bad … or not

Place the egg into a bowl of cold water. The water level should be about 2 times higher than the egg

Observe what the egg does.

  • Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom of the bowl and probably lie on their sides.
  • Slightly older eggs (about one week) will lie on the bottom but bob slightly.
  • If the egg balances on its smallest tip, with the large tip reaching for the top, it’s probably close to three weeks old.
  • Eggs that float at the surface are bad and should not be consumed.

Pretty easy ha! Make sure you check if you are not sure!

Water Demand Management in Malaysia

Heard this one on BFM yesterday about Water Demand Management in Malaysia and boy it was a very interesting talk. Here are some staggering stats that we all have a part to play

  • A conventional toilet uses between 9 and more liters of water , a water saving toilet would use half or less of that.
  • A conventional shower head uses 13 liters a MINUTE which means 5-10 minute shower you would have used about 130 liters of water.Water efficient shower head uses 5 liters a minute
Its MASSIVE! This is a massive problem and i sure hope that the government, developers starts the education process in a large way to educate us to be mindful of these stats and issues and provide the resources for us to be sustainable .
I highly recommend you listen to the podcast and please spread the word, it is IMPORTANT!

Deadly Typhoon Strikes Philippines

Manila residents waded through waist-deep floodwaters and dodged flying debris Tuesday as a powerful typhoon struck the Philippines, killing at least 12 people and sending waves as tall as palm trees crashing over seawalls

Most deaths occurred in metropolitan Manila, which already was soaked by heavy monsoon rains ahead of Typhoon Nesat’s arrival with more downpours and wind gusts of up to 150 km/h. Downtown areas along Manila Bay suffered their worst flooding in decades.

Its massive and its no joke! Imagine getting hit by something as powerful as a typhoon, watch the video below to under stand the magnitude of a typhoon. Typhoon Nesat is underway and there have been many evacuation orders that have been issued which will save lives. Hope everyone that potentially can get effected are in safe area’s!

Pray for those effected and if you can lend some support, please do! A good starting point would be the Red Cross Philippines
