One that im looking forward too : The story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.

I am looking forward to this one, its based on the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game ;

What is it about?

Moneyball is a quest for the secret of success in baseball. Following the low-budget Oakland Athletics, their larger-than-life general manger, Billy Beane, and the strange brotherhood of amateur baseball enthusiasts, Michael Lewis has written not only “the single most influential baseball book ever” (Rob Neyer, Slate) but also what “may be the best book ever written on business” (Weekly Standard).

I wrote this book because I fell in love with a story. The story concerned a small group of undervalued professional baseball players and executives, many of whom had been rejected as unfit for the big leagues, who had turned themselves into one of the most successful franchises in Major League Baseball. But the idea for the book came well before I had good reason to write it—before I had a story to fall in love with. It began, really, with an innocent question: how did one of the poorest teams in baseball, the Oakland Athletics, win so many games?

Its a very good movie personally, very inspiring . I think many countries need suchs passion and drive eventhough many wouldnt agree with me but when is it ever enough?

Peter Jackson, the director of Lord of the rings trilogy is back with his new movie District 9. This is a pretty movie judging from the trailer.

The Plot :

An extraterrestrial race forced to live in slum-like conditions on Earth suddenly find a kindred spirit in a government agent that is exposed to their biotechnology.

According to the Mayan calender , the 21st of December 2012 will be the day of the Apocalypse. In English, that means it will be the end of mankind and our home, planet earth. This new movie directed by Roland Emmerich who is no stranger to such movies directing “Independence Day,” “Godzilla,” and “The Day After Tomorrow.”

The trailer looks pretty good, then again dont all trailers? The movie is due to be released on the 3rd of November 2009 and its one of the movies that im looking forward to catch!
