Unifi Package Upgrade Offer

I have been happy with my internet speeds at home since i upgraded to unifi. I only have a 5MB connection which im happy about but always wondered what a 10mb or 20mb would feel like.

TM has launched a promo where you can upgrade your speed or even if you are on Streamyx and want to shift to the faster Unifi. 3 months free, looked pretty good at a glance so like every offer, there is the Terms that you MUST read before signing up

So what happens is, just say you have a 5MB and want to upgrade to 10MB? You still pay the RM149 that you are paying for the first 3 months upon the new speed getting activated. You only pay the new charges on the 4th month onward’s. If im reading it right (probably should call to clarify this), your contract will be refreshed to another 24months.

If that works for you, its a pretty decent offer!

Hypptv Platinum Pack

If you have your Unifi decoder sitting in a box, maybe its a good time to check this one out. Hypptv have come up with this pretty decent package for only RM30 . The channel’s are not the best that is available since Astro has got them all locked down but this is a decent alternative and surely it will only get better.

I suppose it wont wouldn’t harm having this in your bedroom or an attached to a extra tv you have at home.

Watch Hypptv Premium Channels For FREE

Happy Birthday Hypptv! In conjunction with the Hypptv’s 1st anniversary, Unifi subscribers can now watch Premium Channel’s for free till the 30th of April 2011 . I hardly use the decorder that came with my Unifi package but this is a good time to take it for a test run to see if it can serve as a alternative to Astro. No way that it can substitute Astro but certainly we can explore the options of reducing the load on your Astro bill and to use this to suplement your viewing pleasure.

Things to do when you get Unifi

Finally got myself on the High Speed Broadband bang wagon last weekend after years of a 1MB line and boy does it feel good!
The days of slow internet is now over and i finally can enjoy some decent speeds thanks to unifi. I put myself on a “demand list” last year and was told that i would get a call when it was available in my area but never did of course but when i saw a unifi booth at my condo, i had to quickly sign up for it and 2 weeks later i got unified!

Extremely Slow Connection

I havent been blogging as much as i like, because its impossible to get to the dashboard of this blog.. Yes its that bad!

So why the bad connection?

Please be informed that currently all users who using ISP Streamyx is having slow connection due to detected a cable fault on the Southeast Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 4 (SMW4) submarine cable network between Alexandria in Egypt and Palermo in Italy linking Malaysia to Europe and the United States (US). The consortium will be carrying out repair works on site on Saturday, 24 April 2010 and it is expected to be completed on Sunday, 2nd May 2010.

During the restoration process, there will be some interruption to the traffic to Europe and the US carried through that cable. TM ISP is taking active steps to minimize disruptions; we have added additional links on other routes and coordinated with other international carriers in order to provide additional bandwidth for our customers.
