Arsenal 0 Liverpool 2
Amazingly this is Liverpool’s first win at the Arsenal for 11 years! The perfect season to end the hodoo with Kenny Daliglish new look Liverpool side. When you have players like Suarez and Meireles starting on the bench you know that you have a good team with strength in depth.
To be fait the fist 45 minutes was not exactly end to end stuff with both teams getting their footing. Carroll scored 2 dissallowed goals which also earned him a yellow card. Hopefully he starts scoring goals before the whistle so that it can be counted but never the less signs are that he is slowly getting into the Liverpool way.
Meireles & Suarez came on and the that was the difference, the entire team sparked to live and the both paired up to put Ramsey under preasure to score a own goal and another with Suarez scoring from a unselfish pass from Meireles to earn the 3 points.
Arsenal looked very jaded, nothing like the Arsenal that we are used too wit the fluid passing. The only player who was lively was Emmanuel Frimpong until he got sent off for the 2nd bookable offence. The rest of the team practically were poor in my view.
On the other hand, things are slowly settling with the brand new Liverpool team and it is on the up, we are far from any sort of form but as long as we are earning the 3 points, i dont think anyone will be complaining. The likes of Charlie Adam’s and Henderson have some work to do to gel into the team and the style and surely they could be very useful assets sooner rather than later.

Liverpool FC 1 Sunderland 1
Finally its back, the BPL is on with full steam yesterday with Liverpool taking on Sunderland at hime during the season opener. For a Liverpool fan of more than 20 years, this year is definately one of the most exciting years in a long time. Kenny Dalglish together with Damien Comolli have brought in fantastic quality into the squad and for once we have real quality even on the bench.
The match against Sunderland saw debut’s being given to Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Jordan Henderson and Jose Enrique. With Carrol and Suarez who signed only in January it is pretty much a brand spanking new team out on field.
The team started superbly but the lack of cohesiveness was the difference but there were glimpse of brilliance with Downing making some brilliant run’s, Adam’s pulling the strings from the center and Carroll looking more and more like the player that we signed from Newcastle before he got injured. Suarez has brought the boots that help win him the player of the tournament during his recently Copa success.
All signs are promissing and it sure looks like Kenny Dalglish has a sold foundation to work on now to make the team trully fantastic. As a fan , im dissapointed that we did not get all 3 points but im encouraged of what i see on display.
Its early days but its going to be very interesting,
LFC Lineup -> Reina, Enrique, Agger, Carragher (C), Flanagan, Downing, Adam, Lucas, Henderson , Carroll, Suarez – Kuyt (61) Meireles (75)
