Fernando Torres 2011 Goal Tally
Chelsea star Fernando Torres scored a blistering 3 goals during his 1 year at his new club Chelsea. The below tribute is to the Blues forward. Chelsea paid £50m for Torres in January 2011 – just over £16.6m per Premier League goal so far.
The Spanish striker scored an impressive 65 times in 102 Premier League appearances for the Reds, but has only managed to muster a measly three goals in his first 27 for Chelsea.

Fifa World Cup 2010 Champions : Spain
Spain were crowned the Fifa World Cup 2010 champions after they defeated the Dutch team 1-0 in extra time. The ill tempered game saw 14 yellow cards, 1 red car, 1 karate kick and only one Andres INIESTA goal to seal the latest winners. This is the first time the Spaniards have won the world cup while also being the current European Champions.
Spain is also the first team to lose the opening World Cup game and to go on and win the top prize. For me this World Cup has been poor. Poor with the standard of football, its been a tactical World Cup. Teams came out looking to tactically neutralize their opponents and to snatch to one or two goals to take them through.
With the exception of the South American and Germany, others we poor. There were not many moments of brilliance, top players failed to shine and the lesser known came out tops. Have a look at the top goal scorers, Diego Forlan,Mueller,Sneidjer,Villa and Higuain.
Jambulani made lots of headlines because the ball was very different , call it high tech but some players who were not hitting the high notes HATED it! The top goal scorers…No Complains.
It was a decent final, not the best but South Africa did a brilliant job in hosting the games and till Brazil 2014, Adios!
Lotus F1 Development
The break heading into Europe for the F1 season is over and the first race in Europe starts in Spain today!! The new teams im sure are working heavily to improve the performance.Lotus F1 team have done the same and the new development pack is in place and ready to go. Team manager Mike Gascoyne thinks that 1-2 seconds could be shaved off the lap time which should bring the rookie team closer to the leading pack.
A behind the scenes look at the new parts Lotus F1 team is putting on its car for the Spanish Grand Prix aimed at improving performance.
All the best to the team this weekend and hopefully a point or 2 in Europe?
Spain Are Euro 08 Champions

The Euro 2008 is now over! I watched the Euro 08 finals with Shashi and Danny at Stevens Corner at OUG last night and i must say the frenzy this year is not as big as previous years but still not that bad. Danny picked me up at about 130am and we made our way to the landmark ‘mamak’ which was not full as yet.
The crowd started coming in as the kick off neared and by the time the game started it was packed!
Spain were worthy winners of the night dominating most of the play and came close in more than 1 occasion to score. The Liverpool hot shot, Fernando Torres bagged the winner in his trademark runs and flick over the helpless Lehmann who saw the ball rolling into the net.
The Germans were lack luster for most of the match except a few sparks of brilliance that hardly troubled the spanish captain Iker Cassilas. The Spaniards managed to hold on to the lead till the final wrap-up by the Italian referee and effectively became the European Champions.
Im sure the folks at Liverpool would be delighted with the results with Torres and Alonso both featuring in the squad together with Reina and Arbeloa sitting on the bench. Hopefully this sparks off the Reds of Merseyside to do well in the new season of the EPL that starts on the 15th of August.
My man of the match Xavi
Now for the Chinese Olympics
