This is something! I heard about how competitive it is in education and the job markets from my friends. Some stories that i hear sounds like a massive case of exaggeration but after speaking to close friends, they confirmed that it is the scene.
Heard of IIT (Indian institute of Technology) ? This is the boiling pot of education! Beat this, i was told that apparently to get into this Institute you need to score a moderate 100% at your entry exam. And this is not we want to see if you know some math’s and some english entry exam but one massive test. It’s so massive that some students find their stay in the uni a breeze because they the studying that happened during the entry exam .. WAS CRAZY!
You have to watch the video to believe it. Imagine this students that don’t make it into IIT, get scholarships into the IVY League schools.

One that im looking forward too : The story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.
I am looking forward to this one, its based on the book Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game ;
What is it about?
Moneyball is a quest for the secret of success in baseball. Following the low-budget Oakland Athletics, their larger-than-life general manger, Billy Beane, and the strange brotherhood of amateur baseball enthusiasts, Michael Lewis has written not only “the single most influential baseball book ever” (Rob Neyer, Slate) but also what “may be the best book ever written on business” (Weekly Standard).
I wrote this book because I fell in love with a story. The story concerned a small group of undervalued professional baseball players and executives, many of whom had been rejected as unfit for the big leagues, who had turned themselves into one of the most successful franchises in Major League Baseball. But the idea for the book came well before I had good reason to write it—before I had a story to fall in love with. It began, really, with an innocent question: how did one of the poorest teams in baseball, the Oakland Athletics, win so many games?

Amongst the many new features that is on the new iPhone 4, FaceTime is one that is getting much limelight. With the super new camera at the back, the iPhone4 now houses a front camera for this purpose. The front camera is not as powerful as the 5 megapixel camera on the back, its sufficient to serve its purpose.
Now before i actually got my hands on this device i warned by some “experts” that FaceTime only works over a wifi network and will not work over 3G which is a bit of a bummer but i suppose i would comfortably only FaceTime with someone in a environment which is private and for me that’s either at home or the office which both normally have wifi connections anyway.
Now using it is a breeze. All you need to do is, head on to the contacts information on your phonebook, look up the FaceTime button and touch it. The device will make that FaceTime call and take note that you are not getting charged for a usual call as its using the Wifi network to communicate with the person you are contacting. Its brilliant!
