An ex-cop’s regret

This story is a MUST READ. Gosh, is this what the people who serve the nation get in return?? Sad :(
Forty years ago, John Stevens had signed up for the police force to serve his country. He had hoped to earn enough to support his siblings.
Today, he is only left with regret.
“Look at my condition, they have neglected me,” whimpered the 61-year-old pensioner in a tone that did little to conceal his resentment and sorrow.
His wife, Elizabeth Packianathan, 57, shared the same sentiment. “After serving in the police for 34 years, what did we get?”
The couple’s only son, John Patrick, 30, added: “More than anything else, we want to highlight the discrimination and problems we faced.”

Nurin’s Murder - Suspect Arrested

Best piece of news for today was this one! I hope this is the guy and if there is a syndicate behind it i hope they get busted.He/they should not get any normal punishments..My suggestion…Stone them to death!
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 26 (Bernama) — Police arrested a 41-year-old man in Lebuh Ampang here this afternoon in connection with the sexual savagery and murder of eight-year-old Nurin Jazlin Jazimin.
The suspect, who works as a “middleman” for a travel agency in the city, was lured by a friend to a coffeeshop where a police team had mounted an ambush to nab him.
A police source said police laid the ambush after the suspect’s friend notified them that the suspect might be linked to Nurin’s brutal murder.
The friend had also told police that he suspected the man could be the “Kampung Baru child molester” who had sexually abused two children with brinjal.
Bernama learnt that prior to the arrest, the friend had hoodwinked the suspect into believing that he had a business proposal to discuss at the coffeeshop.
At about 2pm, the suspect arrived at the coffeeshop where his friend was waiting.
According to the friend, they discussed joint-venture businesses before the topic of conversation veered to personal matters.
“During this time, I sent an SMS to a group of undercover policemen who were waiting in ambush outside the coffeeshop.
“Just then, the man asked me to meet a business associate and began walking towards a building, located on the other side of the road.
“At that juncture, I immediately called the policemen,” he told Bernama.
Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said it was too early to comment on the arrest of the suspect.
It is learnt the suspect was taken to the Petaling Jaya police headquarters to facilitate investigations.

On Aug 20, Nurin was reported missing by her father, Jazimin Abdul Jalil, after she went alone to a night market near her house in Section 1, Wangsa Maju, here.
Despite wide media coverage and massive search effort, she could not be traced.
On Sept 17, Nurin’s nude body stuffed inside a sports bag, was found under a staircase of a shoplot in PJS 1/48, Petaling Utama. A post-mortem revealed she had been sexually assaulted with a cucumber and brinjal
