Maxis 10 : Iphone 4 Review [Part 5] – FaceTime
Amongst the many new features that is on the new iPhone 4, FaceTime is one that is getting much limelight. With the super new camera at the back, the iPhone4 now houses a front camera for this purpose. The front camera is not as powerful as the 5 megapixel camera on the back, its sufficient to serve its purpose.
Now before i actually got my hands on this device i warned by some “experts” that FaceTime only works over a wifi network and will not work over 3G which is a bit of a bummer but i suppose i would comfortably only FaceTime with someone in a environment which is private and for me that’s either at home or the office which both normally have wifi connections anyway.
Now using it is a breeze. All you need to do is, head on to the contacts information on your phonebook, look up the FaceTime button and touch it. The device will make that FaceTime call and take note that you are not getting charged for a usual call as its using the Wifi network to communicate with the person you are contacting. Its brilliant!
