Since DSAI has announced that he will be standing in Permatang Pauh to mark his entry into the parliament the next question is who will stand against him? One of the obvious candidates seem to be former PKR member Ezam Mohd Noor.
Excerpts from the star :
PKR is challenging its former Youth chief Ezam Mohd Nor to stand against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in the Permatang Pauh by-election.
“We hope Umno will let Ezam to take on Anwar in the by-election.
“Let him come and contest if he dares because this is what the PKR wants,” said Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim, a supreme council member and Selangor state liaison chief after a tea session with the media Thursday.
Ezam has put him self in the shooting line when DSAI first indicated that he might be going for the Kulim seat. Since its now confirmed that DSAI will be standing at Permatang Pauh will he put him self up for the seat as well?
I personally think it be interesting to see him go against his former role model. Gut feeling tells me that it might not happen if UMNO toke Ezam seriously. It be just another bad attempt of publicity and nothing more. The people are not too interested in the drama mambo-jambo but more interested in a leader who can make a genuine change.
DSAI has been in the dark for too long and its only fair that he is given a crack at it. Ezam should stick with UMNO to do what he first claimed to set out to do, fight corruption and reform of UMNO. Maybe Dato Samy Vellu should stand at Permatang Pauh, since he is re-branded and all that
