Recolor May 13

I would like to re-color May 13, to breathe new spirit into the date, to dilute and eventually erase the negative thoughts and replace them with positive meanings and values. We are placing a full page advertisement in The Star this May 13 , with a call to re-color the day.

Brilliant! And its about time! All you monsters who use May 13 to been using this day for your political agenda or to scare..Shame on you!

Lets Get Rid of the HANTU TETEK

May 13 is more than a monkey at our backs but like Prof Azmi Shanom calls it, the Hantu Tetek that has been haunting us for over 40 years now! Its history and they don’t call it history for shit! Time to move on and not fear the reoccur of the black mark in our history!

Rebranding May 13

Living in a multi racial country is not the easiest. Even though some claim that Malaysia is truly Asia and often proudly speak about how various religion live “happily” together, that is not always the case. Just a few years ago Americans had race high up in their agenda and it being a sensitive issue that was treated with lots of care and considered fragile. But how a few years makes such difference as today they have a African American president and its no longer a issue.

Here in Malaysia, politicians still use race as a trump card to lobby support,votes and press mileage. Personally i think its a whore that race based politics is still high up in the agenda here. Its like a tumor, if not removed from the root it will grow again and cause that bulge which can hurt our very existence.

Removing it once and for all has got be a start we should be aiming for. Where to start?

I think it has got to start with the re branding of May 13th! The 13th of May 1969 is the ugly past that many still use as scare tactics to keep the minority shut! Its horrible! I was at a workshop last week and this brilliant idea came up to rebrand the whole idea by showing Malaysians the other side of the ugly day.
