Great Manager Series : Kenny Dalglish
I had to share this video, a little history of the boss! He still celebrates the same now ha!
LFC , The Revival
Its been about a month since Kenny Dalglish had taken over the reigns as the Caretaker Manager of Liverpool FC after the dismissal of the Roy Hodgson era. Personally, i was hoping for a bit more from the former Fulham manager who came into the hot seat after being named Manager of year for the 2009/2010 season. Continue reading »
King Kenny Is Back!
After a miserable start to the premiership, Roy Hodgson has left Liverpool FC by mutual consent. Roy to be honest is a good man but unfortunately it did not work out. I suppose he brought his Fulham mentality and magerial style over to Liverpool and it did not resonate amongst the world class players at anfield.
He has been under immense pressure recently and the lost against the manager-less Blackburn was the last straw.
Replacing Roy will be Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish Continue reading »
Roy Hodgson is the New Liverpool FC Manager
Roy Hodgson has been confirmed as the new manager of Liverpool FC. The former Fulham FC manager, takes over from Rafa Benitez who has since moved to Inter Milan. Ironically, Roy too was a former manager of Inter Milan and has a list of clubs and international teams that he has managed during his career.
Personally i was hoping for Kenny Dalglish to take over the helm but the management has decided to go with the former manager who lead Fulham to the Europa Cup finals and a respectable 7th place in the Premier League.
My biggest problem has been the lack of passion shown by the players and the over reliance on foreign talent which never allowed the true RED passion come forward. Roy is a English man and more over his wife is from the town should reinstate the missing passion back into the team.
I hope that Roy brings stability into the team, brings back the desire and pride to wear the Liverpool crest on the shirts into the players and pushes the club forward. Its not going to be easy but im optimistic.
The coaching staff is surely going to have a overhaul and hopefully the team too. There are too many redundant players in my view which need to be removed, Some minor tweaking to new additions and hopefully some new faces from the Youth academy are given the opportunity to step up.
This is going to be a very interesting season and i cant wait already!
All the best Roy Hodgson and You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Head on the the Official Website for the latest news updates and press conference which is due later today.
Rafa Benitez : The End
In the summer of 2004, Rafael Benitez was signed from Valencia Football Club where he won the league tittle against the likes of giants Barcelona and Real Madrid. He came in with a huge reputation and the club was ecstatic over the signing which many believed would trigger the team to greatness.
The manager came in and performed whole sale changes removing many players, bringing in new blood. He brought in superb signings and also had his fair share of flops.
During his stint in the club he won 4 tittles, Continue reading »
