Next race in the F1 calender is the race in Sepang,Malaysia . The Malaysian race has got the reputation of being the hottest race of the year, literately! With traction controls taken off ,the drivers face a daunting task of control their mean machines down the track with the scorching heat doing no favors!
The McLaren team have started off the calender pretty well with both cars finishing at Melbourne and Hamilton finishing on top of the podium. Ferrari have got a uphill task to play catch up after both cars faired poorly in the curtain raiser. To add icing on the cake, this year marks the 10th anniversary of Sepang in F1 and the host promise it to be a grand affair.
Unfortunately i didnt get me tickets this year but i definitely will be glued infront of the tv watching the race. Im hoping the McLaren boys do well and ide like to see the BMW team doing well! As far as Ferrari is concerned i hope they do give Mclaren a run for their money because a competitive season is a eye candy for every F1 fan!
Will you be going for the race?

F1 Is Back

LEWIS Hamilton steered clear of trouble to win a chaotic Australian Grand Prix - a race packed with incident, which saw only seven out of the 22 cars cross the finish line. The race had begun in dramatic style as in incident in the first corner involving Honda’s Jenson Button,Force India’s Giancarlo Fisichella, Red Bull’s Mark Webber, Super Aguri’s Anthony Davidson and Toro Rosso’s Sebastian Vettel led directly or indirectly to their retirements from the race.
It was a day Ferrari would rather forget, Felipe Massa spinning on the first lap and being involved in an incident with Red Bull’s David Coulthard before retiring. Teammate Kimi Raikkonen, having benefited from the second safety car intervention, threw away the chance to challenge Hamilton with a mistake as he slid off the road trying to pass McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen. Then his Ferrari let him down when he was running seventh with three laps to go.

With the F1 season around the corner this is the first of many stories that Delirium will be covering. There is a new car on the grids and they are Team Force India .

Some Team Info :
Base: Silverstone, UK
Drivers: A Sutil/G Fisichella Test Drivers: V Liuzzi, R Rodriguez, G van der Garde
The team was bankrolled by Indian millionaire Dr.Vijay Mallya who bought over team Spyker and re-branded it as Team Force India
Engine: Ferrari

Should be interesting when the millionaires come into the sports and hopefully make the whole season as competitive as possible for the F1 fans from around the world!

December 13, 2007

Alonso has signed for Renault again! Its homecoming for the former 2 time world champion who signed a $51.3Mil deal . This should effectively put Renault back in the running to challenge for the tittle provided they can come out with a consistent car for Alonso.
Reports also indicate that Alonso is set to partner Nelson Piquet Jr who drove for the Brazilian A1 team .
Can’t wait for the new season to start, it be really interesting to see the if the Hamilton-Alonso rivalry will boil over from last season

McLaren and Alonso Part Company

November 4, 2007

McLaren and Fernando Alonso have parted company, this is the best news that has hit all Mclaren fans since Mika Hakinen wining the championship! The sour grape in the camp has decided to move on to a team where he will be the clear cut no 1 driver and will be truly treated like a king! I doubt Ferrari will take him in after bagging both the constructors and driver tittles.Renault leads the pack to secure this sour grape’s signature but rumor has it Toyota who have one of the deepest pocket in the calender might lure the Spaniards signature. Good luck to them!
McLaren currently have a vacancy for one more driver and its anyone guess as in who may take that seat. Personally im hoping either Mark Webber or Jenson Button secures this seat, they are both very consistent drivers and given a good car, they should make the podium frequently. Its still premature to make any guesses but i hope they get a team player and McLaren challenges next year minus any controversy:)

Tittle Weekend!

October 19, 2007
This weekend the F1 tittle will be decided at the Brazil GP.Its been such a long time since the tittle was decided on the closing weekend.2 drivers are going head to head for the tittle .McLaren’s Fernando Alonso(103points),Lewis Hamilton(107 points) and Ferrari’s Kimi Raikonen(100 points ,ironically drove the McLaren car last year) .

If Raikonen finishes second, Alonso forth and Hamilton eight all 2 drivers will finish the season with 108 points and Kimi will bag the tittle with most race wins. Im hoping Hamilton will bag it but it wont be easy, as long as he keeps his cool and races the way he knows too, he should be able to bag it.
Qualifying is on Sat Night (12midnight,channel 812) and Race proper is on Sunday Night(12midnight,channel 813) on Astro
