Euro 2012

Being a football fan, it gets extremely boring when the season ends but this year we wont be the case with the Euro 2012 happening during summer. Euro 2012 is joint hosted by Poland and Ukraine.
What does the logo mean?
The symbolism of a plant that grows is fully in line with the aspirations of the two host countries, and I am sure that we will be creating history together, with the staging of the UEFA European Football Championship in central and eastern Europe for the first time
The tag line “Creating History Together”
The tournament starts on the 8 June – 1 July 2012 and will stage the best 16 teams in Europe going against each other for the priced throphy.
Its a good idea to check out the Euro 2012 Wiki page which carries most information of the tournament.
Hopefully the tournament is as entertaining with new and old talents go on display with hopefully some beautiful football in display.
MV Augusta

Heard of MV Augusta? MV Augusta is a Italian motocycle maker that makes MV Augusta and Cagiva bikes for racing and street use. The company was not doing too well and eventually when appraoched by Proton ,it was sold for 70 million euro in December 2004. Proton realised after that that there wasnt much synergy between the companies and decided to cut its ties with MV Agusta and sold it to GEVI SpA, a Genoa-based financing company related to Carige, for a token euro excluding debt.
In the latest news Harley Davidson announced they had signed a definitive agreement to acquire the MV Agusta Group for $109M US
Now how do you explain that?? Proton…how do you defend this?

Spain Are Euro 08 Champions

The Euro 2008 is now over! I watched the Euro 08 finals with Shashi and Danny at Stevens Corner at OUG last night and i must say the frenzy this year is not as big as previous years but still not that bad. Danny picked me up at about 130am and we made our way to the landmark ‘mamak’ which was not full as yet.
The crowd started coming in as the kick off neared and by the time the game started it was packed!
Spain were worthy winners of the night dominating most of the play and came close in more than 1 occasion to score. The Liverpool hot shot, Fernando Torres bagged the winner in his trademark runs and flick over the helpless Lehmann who saw the ball rolling into the net.
The Germans were lack luster for most of the match except a few sparks of brilliance that hardly troubled the spanish captain Iker Cassilas. The Spaniards managed to hold on to the lead till the final wrap-up by the Italian referee and effectively became the European Champions.
Im sure the folks at Liverpool would be delighted with the results with Torres and Alonso both featuring in the squad together with Reina and Arbeloa sitting on the bench. Hopefully this sparks off the Reds of Merseyside to do well in the new season of the EPL that starts on the 15th of August.
My man of the match Xavi
Now for the Chinese Olympics
Euro Dream Dashed!

As expected England are out of Euro 2008.I’m a England supporter and i was secretly hoping that something like this would happen when Steve McLaren toke over as manager from Sven. Why you start hoping that other teams win or don’t win so you can progress, its not a good sign already. When Sven left they should have cleared up the entire management team. How on earth can you expect a new mentality from someone who was part of a mentality you never fancied??
Sometimes the lineup and choice of players are simply crazy!!This is England, have a look at the league, the talents are surplus and you field a rookie goal keeper in Scott Carson to play in such a crucial match? Carson is one for the future and McLaren effectively just broke a talents hope in one game! Idiots!!
In my view, a Ex-player should take the role next. Not a Fabio Capello or a Martin O’Neil, go for someone like Alan Shearer !Klinsmann worked in Germany,Donadoni is doing ok at Italy so why cant Shearer??? Just make sure he has a awesome coaching staff and his reputation and English passion will carry them through. A national job is not like a club job, your job is to pick the best players(not by reputation) and make sure games are won..PERIOD!
It wont be as interesting a Euro without England but at least the players from the clubs you support in the BPL will have a well rested summer to come back and have a awesome injury free season!
What are your thoughts?
