Barack Obama Tweets

Barack Obama’s presidential re-election campaign announced today that the president himself would be updating his Facebook and Twitter accounts heading into 2012

Fantastic isnt it? Its always easy to get a few people to manage your twitter or any social platform that represents people of authority, understandably with the other important matters taht they have to handle its not something of the highest priority. Some may argue that its because of his re-election campaign.

What i like best is how they are transparent about tweets that are generated by his team and how they have given clear indications that tweets from the man himself will be marked as “BO”. This simple step goes a long way in my view and shows great leadership and how interested he is!

Leaders from all over the world ought to learn from him i feel.

1 Batang For BN & 2 Bukits For PR

results

Barisan Nasional as predicted managed to win the Batang Ai seat while PR which fielded a PAS and PKR candidate both bagged the Bukits in the Peninsular. Watching the coverage on tv can be pretty annoying especially when you watch a channel where the panel is nothing but bias. Dont understand why on earth they invite “so called experts” who obviously have some alliance with a certain party.

Hopefully there are no more by-elections what so ever(unless someone passes on of course). Its time for the government, the state governments to start working proper instead of polictiking!!

MIC’s 68year old alternative

MIC veteran leader M Muthupalaniappan today announced that he would contest for the party presidency next March.

MCPX

“I am receiving overwhelming support and good words from MIC and the Indian community regarding this,” he told Malaysiakini.

Its about time Samy Vellu got someone to contest against him!Its good ti see that someone has finally got the guts to contest for the top post of the party that claims to bail the rights of the Indians in Malaysia.

I really like to see what Uncle Semi has got to say and hopefully he wont be repeating what he said just before the last election for his own good. The weird thing is i dont know if this is just a setup for a candidate to be placed there to contest a no contest or if its genuine(cant blame me for thinking that isnt it??!)

I don’t know much about the former MIC vice[president but i know that he is 68-year-old and thats not going to help the cause in my view if they want a fresh new approach in making the party more relevant to the nation.

What ever it is..It should be a interesting build up towards the MIC elections and it be even better if more come forward in view to challenge the grandpa of MIC for the top seat.

Question – There must be something in the drinks at the MIC office, they all have un-futile heads eh! :)

Its Definately Over Confidence!

Semi-Happier Days

Semi-Happier Days

I was doing some rounds around the internet and stumbled upon a article by Bernama which is pretty funny to look at now.  I found this article particularly very interesting and I’m going to break it up and leave my thoughts below each part :)

MIC President Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu says Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) candidate Dr D. Jeyakumar can contest in Sungai Siput until his lifetime.

Lifetime? :P more like he lost his chance at being in mainstream politics for his entire lifetime

He can contest 25 times or spend his entire life vying for the seat, I don’t care. I’m not afraid to face him or (Datuk Seri) Anwar Ibrahim (PKR advisor) himself.I can defeat them

Imagine if Anwar contested there?! HAHHAHA….

What can the DAP do even if it wins the seat. They can only make noise in the state assembly…that’s all. There’s nothing you can get from making noise

What if Dato Semi was in the opposition, you think you’ll even get a whisper outta him?

And the closing statement to this piece was the icing on the cake

The opposition parties are merely interested in getting votes because they want to win. They don’t care about the voters’ woes,” added Samy Vellu, who had said this might be his last general election.

And you care about the voters woes Dato’ Semi? Wonder what the folks who invested in Maika has got to say about that?

Ironic isnt it? Over confidence is like a humping a whore thats got AIDS, it feels good at that moment..But it screws you up after!! :)

**Just a thought, image if he had won his seat and appeared in parliament today, all the opposition mp’s will be having a field day isnt it :) **
