How to tell if a Egg is gone bad

Have you ever had eggs’ at home for a while and not sure if you can consumer the egg or if its gone bad? This is a simple test that you can do to find out if the egg is gone bad … or not

Place the egg into a bowl of cold water. The water level should be about 2 times higher than the egg

Observe what the egg does.

• Fresh eggs will sink to the bottom of the bowl and probably lie on their sides.
• Slightly older eggs (about one week) will lie on the bottom but bob slightly.
• If the egg balances on its smallest tip, with the large tip reaching for the top, it’s probably close to three weeks old.
• Eggs that float at the surface are bad and should not be consumed.

Pretty easy ha! Make sure you check if you are not sure!

Maxis : How To Check Data Usage

Here’s a nice tip, this is how you can check how much you have exhausted off your monthly data usage from your monthly Maxis data package. Im on a 500MB plan which is sufficient for me as I’m on wifi when at home where I do my updates and other data hungry activities.

Using this method, you can ensure that you keep your data usage in check. If you don’t know already, it cost a bomb when you pass your monthly data cap so its good to check to ensure you don’t fall under that bracket.

Road Tax : NCD

Its a term we hear once a year when we are due to renew your vehicle roadtax. What is NCD?

NCD, short for No Claim Discount, is a discount given to the policyholders upon renewal of their motor insurance if no claim is made or arises from the policy for a continuous coverage of 12 months. The discount given is based on a fixed rate provided by Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) Motor Tariff.

Happy Birthday Twitter!

March 21st is Twitter’s 4th birthday — exactly four years since Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey sent his first Tweet and, along with Evan Williams and Biz Stone, started a phenomenon. Last month, Twitter hit 50 million Tweets per day, and last summer it was announced that “Twitter” would enter the Collins English Dictionary.

I joint Twitter on the 24th of April 2008 exactly 696 days ago and how its becoming more and more important part of our day to day life.

TNB Power Outage Check

Power outages can be a pain! Coming back to a dark home after a tiring day at work is like being told that you need to sleep in a oven after running a marathon! TNB has a service where you can log onto their website and check out if there is going to be any scheduled outages where you live

I got a email saying :

There will be power cut (2 – 14 hours) for tenaga to do some maintenance work, from today till 8th Aug 09. Whole M’sia affected except PutraJaya.

But after checking the tnb website via the SERVICE INTERRUPTION ALERT i discovered that its going to be staggered instead of the entire nation going dark. So check out the tnb website and find out when you are going to be effected.
