RPK Sent To Kamunting

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

This is a truly sad day for all Malaysians and a severe dent to the freedom of speech .RPK will be sent to the Kamunting Detention Center in Taiping, Perak today to begin his two-year detention under the Internal Security Act.

Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had signed his detention order last night for the blogger to be held without trial under section 8(1) of the tough security law. Under the Act, the government can renew his detention indefinitely.

There was 1 brave blogger who revealed a lot of information without any fear and those allegations were never investigated by any party but he was slammed into a corner and put into detention without trial to keep him quiet.

RPK will join the Hindraf 5 at Kamunting the other detainee’s who have been detained under this horrible piece of law. Sick! THIS IS THE DARK SIDE OF MALAYSIA.

I’m wondering how come Raja Petra’s allegations were not investigated and brought to the court of law? How come whenever a case is filled against the ruling govt, we don’t hear about it?

Mr Syed Hamid, how do you sleep at night?

Arrested Bloggers

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Recently Malaysia has been experiencing a frenzy of bloggers that have been arrested. This year alone we saw bloggers RPK,Penarik Beca and Kickdefella being arrested. I was wondering if this is a trend that has been happening around the world that our government have been “learning from”

I must find the book “101 ways to keep bloggers shut” I think some governments of the world skipped the content and got to the end bit where it said ARREST THEIR ASS. Its mind boggling that government see bloggers as national threats and rapist, kidnappers and murderers are still roaming around looking for new targets.

Last year alone we had Nurin,Sharlinie,Preeshena and god knows how many more were either murdered or kidnap. The highlight after they have gone the cases were suddenly not spoken about and no updates were given. Are bloggers that bad that you need to arrest them and give them such a hard time??

Well back to the original story… (more…)

Bullshit In Egypt

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

With the arrest of bloggers and politicians which is severely denting freedom of speech lately i was wondering if this crap only happens in Boleh-land and apparently not! Another country which arrest bloggers who are critical of the government is Egypt. In Egypt many bloggers have been arrested without proper justification. It seems that some governments think they are superhero’s that can wave the powerful wand and shut off those who speak against them.

In Egypt, A young Egyptian blogger Mohamed Refaat has being in jail since July. (more…)

In the nation where bloggers get arrested, politicians get arrested for reasons which are not justified to be a crime in the real world. The latest to get arrested was Syed Azidi or known as Kickdefella was arrested and released today. He is a brilliant blogger was simply expressing his views and thoughts like bloggers are meant to do and was busted for that.

In his first posting since his release he said (more…)

A letter that was writen by RPK and taken from Zorro’s. Anyone could tell that RPK was in the que for Kamunting with indication from the Home Minister and many obvious signs from stories on the mainstream.

I for one am genuinely sad that this day has happened. Even though i don’t know RPK personally, anyone who has access to the real news would feel connected to RPK. I consider the man a real Malaysian who is was fighting for the cause of ALL Malaysians.

Teresa Kok Arrested!

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

My Mp has been arrested! The latest to be arrested today is the Mp of Seputeh and ADUN of Puchong was picked up at 11.20pm. She has been arrested under  Section 73 (1) of the ISA. What the heck is happening?!

I voted for Teresa in the last election and she had a landslide win against the BN candidate. The arrested was due to the Faulty PA system the cause of ’silent’ azans‘ which was blown out of proportion by the former Selangor Menteri Besar Khir Toyo.

The issue was clarified by Masjid Kota Damansara officials that it was a damaged amplifier that resulted in the calls to prayers to be made without the aid of a PA system.

What on Earth is happening?!

Journalist Arrested

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Ahmad Ismail got away with a suspension but the Sin Chew Daily journalist Tan Hoon Cheng got arrested at her home at 8.30pm. This is because of her report in the Chinese daily about remarks made by Ahmad Ismail which according to the UMNO guy was totally misinterpreted.

Ops Lalang Under way?

My Guess is as good as yours. I was warned by a friends that other bloggers might be in the pipeline to be put away soo please keep your emotions in place and stay calm.

Raja Petra Detained Under ISA

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Raja Petra Kamarudin has been detained under the ISA!! 10 police personnel came to their home in Sungai Buloh at about 1.10pm to arrest RPK. The “controversial” RPK was warned the Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had that he could be charged under the ISA for comments allegedly insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad.

RPK was arrested under Internal Security Act section 73(1). They ransacked RPK’s bedroom and took away some documents and CDs.

There have been numerous reports filled against RPK for his posting entitled “I Promise to be a good, non-hypocritical Muslim”

Its a sad day for all Malaysians that this has happened. The freedom of speech is purely a myth in this part of the world. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and make what ever they want off it. If it offended certain quarters, he should have been given a chance to clarify his stand and charged in a court of law where he could defend him selves. Detaining him in such manner shows that this is not such a free nation after all. And some people still wonder why the rakyat are demanding a change!!
