The latest website that i stumbled upon and follow is the website of the Prime Minister of Britain, Gordon Brown. Its called Number10.gov.uk and its the website that updates the people of Britain and around the world about the where a bouts and what the Prime Minister has been up to.

Its a superb site that clearly gives its readers clear and precise information which they are great! With the current turbulent economic times, i have seen the measures that the Prime Minister has been taking to minimize the impact to the country.

You know what i like best about this site? The information provided gives the citizens of Britain and the world a chance to gauge the measures and actions taken hence everyone is satisfied with the actions and gives them a opportunity to object via their respective law makers to bring up into the house of commons.

The site includes Youtube video’s,Newsletters,Photo’s,Info about the PM and even Twitter updates!

This is what you call a proper Prime Minister’s website! Congratulations to PM Gordon Brown on this great work.

Now compare that to the PM of Malaysia’s website!

The Malaysian Prime Minister Site which is called Warkah Untuk PM is nothing more than a glorified website to jump onto the Prime Minister’s website bandwagon in my view. It simply collects Complains/Suggestions/Critics . Just not good enough in my view and that the rakyat needs to know what the PM is doing for the country during this turbulent times and other measures to take the nation forward.

If we wanted to log complains, we can go to our local MP’s/Adun’s offices and they will help to resolve the matter.

I hope that if you want to compare, this is a comparison for you! There may be better PM’s websites than PM Gordon Brown’s site but its a great benchmark in my view.

To be a first world nation we need to have a first world mentality!! And please….Don’t treat the rakyat like a bunch of kids because its a insult to our intellegence! I think the rakyat are smarter than the government thinks!
