UITM is now the most popular university in the country, for the right reasons? Im not too sure about that. The above banner was unfolded at Permatang Pauh yesterday by UMNO Kedah calling to protect the rights of the Malays and maintaining 100% Malays into the Universiti.

My take- Defenses are up and defending the rights of the Malays (By certain quaters who want to take advantage of the situation.

Why do i think so?

I was waiting for Anwar to speak about this matter and he did last night addressing about 5,000 UITM students at the Permatang Pauh campus. DSAI was strong in his message of mostly Malays by telling them that we are in a country where many races share the soil and its important that we share the spoils.

The statement that send the crown on frenzy was

“Orang Melayu anak saya… (pause) …  orang Cina anak saya … (pause) …. orang India anak

saya,”

If the mostly Malay crowd students can react to that statement, how can someone tell me that the last time they protested to Tan Sri Khalid did not have a element of influence??

Anwar is persuasive as ever. Compare to Khalid Ibrahim (a corporate figure), he makes the right decision although many deemed incorrect.

Anwar is doing what he does best, Talking.

What retards. No wonder the country is going backwards. Competition leads to improvement, if they close the university to other students from other races, how the hell are they going to improve?
