WWF-Malaysia is running a brilliant campaign in conjunction with the year of the tiger. The campaign is to double the no of tigers in the wild to twice of what we have now. How many tigers do we have now?
60 years ago we had 3000 , today we have less than 500!!
There is a website that has been setup, tx2.my which is the official campaign site where you can get useful information about tigers and how we all can play our part to keep them going, in fact to double the number of tigers in the wild. WWF-Malaysia has done a superb job in adding some fun into the campaign by giving you the opportunity to earn your stripes!
How does it work?
Sign up and complete a number of task and you start earning your stripes. There are more and more task that are put out for you to complete and earn your stripes! There are even wallpapers and so much to discover!
You better know that in Malaysia, our Coat of Arms has 2 tigers sitting pretty on the logo which represents out country and its pretty sad to see that we are on course to have tigers, only on images.
This is my Chinese New Year wish to everyone and hopefully that we can take the awareness about the importance of having these majestic tiger bracing out forest for centuries!
