If you are a frequent user of tol’ed road’s here is a promotion that you might be interested in. 80 transactions and you get 20% rebate for the travels. Now it may sound like a good promo but i think its got a pretty dumb mechanism behind how it works. The way its layed out, it seems like its super hard and troublesome to get your rebate that you might just not get it done and Touch N Go will not need to pay you even if you are eligible.
The mechanism :
Step 1 Pay your toll with Touch ‘n Go Card with or without SmartTAG (except Fleet Xs and Biz Xs cards) at all highways in Peninsular Malaysia.
Step 2 Make sure you have minimum of 80 transactions or more in a calendar month. Need an easy tracking of your toll transactions? Register here on this page!
Step 3 Bring your Touch ‘n Go card and visit Touch ‘n go hubs at Faber Towers or KL Sentral; or selected Highway Sales Centre. The 20% rebate will be credited to your card immediately.
So if you use spend RM10 per day(2 times a day) which means about 60 transactions, you are not eligible
If you spend RM0.50 but 4 transactions a day which makes it 120 transaction, you are eligible!! But wait, read step 3! You need to visit a Touch and go office to get that rebate credited to your card every single month… Sounds like fun??
So its not how much you spend to be eligible but how many times you use the tols! Sounds like a pretty crap promo if you asked me! But if you are interested, check out the Promo Page for more information.
