Yesterday’s blog posting reminded me of something hillarious that happened in my previous company. I used to work in a large IT company before. The employee’s in this particular office used to support countries from this region. The funny thing was my colleagues used to joke about how the most powerful person in that office was the receptionist.
The receptionist would be the one that sends out emails to the whole organization saying things like ” Philippines team will be on holiday for 2 days beginning XX” , “Malaysia on closed for business for 3 days from xx” . It was like the receptionist was the gate keeper who decided who goes on leave when.
We all respected the one who gave us holidays till one day, we got this email :
Tomorrow the Australian will be on leave because its a PUBIC holiday!
