We have had soo many people grabbing the limelight lately ,most of them are not on their own merit but a piece of news that I read on the Bernama website is of a true champion has got to be off Nicol David.

Nicol David, heads a cast of three Malaysian nominees for the Asian Sports Awards, the first of its kind in the region, organised by the Asian Sports Press Union (ASPU).In my opinion she is one athlete that has done the country proud time and time again without getting the coverage as compared to the under-achievers who most of the time have been spoon fed. She became World #01 at the age of 23 and went on to make that position hers and win tournaments for fun!

Wish her all the best in the awards and i personally hopes she bags it! Its about time a Malaysian is recognized on MERIT!

Its pretty good to see a local talent doing so well, sad to see the lack of coverage but then again, it might be a blessing in disguise isn’t it! : )
