If you think the landing procedeur is the same as the blast off, think again! On its way up most parts of the intial blast off components are dropped off eventually only the soyuz orbits earth befor attaching with the ISS.
The landing proceduer however is slightly different.
The Soyuz comes back alone and takes a free fall into earth with coordinates are set for approximate landing spot set. The Soyuz mostly parachutes its way down and slight trust to slow down the drop. Watch the video below for a idea on the landing procedure.
