This is horrible news! Apparently RTM has got exclusive rights to the world cup!
RTM has been given exclusive broadcasting rights to the FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa from June 11 to July 12, said Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim.
He said RTM had been given the rights to air 35 World Cup matches, of which 24 would be telecast live while 11 would be broadcast as delayed telecasts.
So this means that there is going to be no World Cup coverage on Astro which is pissing me off big time! This means the reason i subscribed for Astro Byond in the first place, to watch the world cup on HD might not happen!!! WTF! Astro better have a good explanation for this if this is true and looks like #yorais has got his revenge

*Apparently Astro is still in the running for the regional rights, so it better work out! :S
