Pedra’s Getting Bigger!

Malaysian Foreign Minister

Malaysian Foreign Minister

First we lost what we used to call Pulau Batu Puteh(now known as Pedra Branca) to Singapore, now the since the republic has got control over the stack of rock they want to make their presence know! Can you blame them for it? In today’s world its extremely competitive, what else when you have a dot in the world map which is much much prosperous and progressive then Malaysia find more space to benefit the island republic??

Excerpts from NST:

SINGAPORE wants to claim a territorial sea and an exclusive economic zone (EEZ) around Pedra Branca – going back on its word to discuss with Malaysia territorial issues and activities around the rocky outcrop.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim did not hide his disappointment with the announcement by Singapore’s Senior Minister of State Balaji Sadasivan that the republic had a territorial sea limit that extended up to a maximum of 12 nautical miles and an EEZ, claiming that this was consistent with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, to which Singapore was a party.

Boss…did you really think Singapore were going to go through all that trouble and do absolutely nothing about it? Honestly, that might have been the story with Pulau Batu Puteh but Pedra Branca….. different story, i dont think they would waste all those resources with the court cases and the light house to just to say “This stack of rocks belong to Singapore”

I remember after we lost the island to Singapore there were lots of whining about how we lost it..bla bla but nothing was done, if there was something being done…Just not fast/good enough!

Want to know how fast they are? They already have a wiki entry!! Check it our HERE.

Those who handled the case must be worried now, thats the difference between a developed nation vs a developing nation. Its all action for the developed nation but the developing …mostly talk. A phrase to mind  “all fart and no shit”

Time to do some serious shitting before we are known as Singa-sia soon!

    Money talks,

In a world that we live in, where resources are becoming more and more restricted, it is only logical for Singapore to make the effort in the first place to win the case.

The way I see it, Singapore is just exercising their right on an island that lawfully belongs to them.
