Point of View
I saw a tweet from Deepak Chopra a few days ago and it rang some bells in my head. Its something that has been running in my head for a while. Often we find politicians shouting about how things should be done and accuses others of not being “normal” just because others don’t do it the way they would.
I always believed that people are entitled to look at things in their own point of view. They should be allowed to think, rationalize and come up with conclusions of their own. As a brand, politician, boss, friend or even family for me our role is to put out information for one to decipher the information and come up with their own conclusions.
A simple example is in the work environment. We have bosses who have certain task that they are responsible for. Very often we find bosses instruction their staff to do certain things. Now these things are based on what he or she understands is what is required. The boss, is allowed to take the info given and instruct his/her staff to undertake.
Now why don’t bosses put out the info as strategically out to their staff so that they can come up with methods to achieve a certain result. Some bosses assume that their staff are not capable of doing so but for me its the bosses failure in not putting out the right information, not getting the right messages across and not following thru to ensure that the general path is on check.
Everyone is entitled to a point of view and just because their point of view varies from yours, that doesnt make your point of view right….. or wrong
Individuals need to be listened too, their point of view must be heard out and taken into account for a decision involving/impacting them is made
