The age limit for MIC Youth members and those holding positions in the movement will be raised from 40 to 45 to enable more people to join the movement, said MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu today.
The age limit for Youth at 45? You must be kidding?! I was curious on what the standards were to be considered a “Youth” and here is some :
- Youth… those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years. – United Nations General Assembly
- Time in a person’s life between childhood and adulthood. The term “youth” in general refers to those who are between the ages of 15 to 25. – World Bank
As the saying goes, all you need to be is young at heart and you can join MIC’s youth arm! Im curious why on earth does a 45 year old want to be in the Youth arm of the party? At what age does he/she join MIC proper and what age do they get into power of the party? 80-90?
So if your looking for a party that is fresh and looking for real youth? You probably knocking the wrong door?
