Its confirmed! Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has ordered all internet service providers (ISPs) to block Malaysia Today. This has got to be a first for such a thing to happen here in Malaysia. The commission blocked because there were comments on the website were insensitive, bordering on incitement.
RPK’s blog has been on of the free for all websites that gives un-sensored news whethere controversial or not to the masses. If his average hits per day is anything to go by, the site is definately one of the most influencial websites there is in Malaysia.
Sometimes when a blogger writes his stories and his thoughts ,the same amount of freedom has got to be given to the commentator and critics alike to ensure freedom of speech stays at its best.
Its a disappointing call which i hope will be removed soon to allow RPK to speak his mind. He has been held accountable for his stories which he has never hide away from ever. Being charged and standing up to his words has been his style which earned him the respect of most Malaysians.
Malaysia Today still can be accessed from HERE and HERE
