Malaysia Crash Out

And just like that our Thomas Cup journey is over. Thanks to the defeat to Japan, Malaysia got the hard tie of playing against China. I personally thought that if we could win our first 2 games, we may have a chance to progress to the finals. But China proved too strong for Malaysia and went on to bury Malaysia without dropping a SINGLE SET!

Results

Lin Dan v Lee Chong Wei 21-17, 21-8

Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng v Koo Kean Keat-Tan Boon Heong 21-15, 21-10

Chen Jin v Wong Choong Han 21-16 21-7

These Chinese were mentally & physically way fitter than the Malaysian team and trully deserve their spot in the finals, For Malaysia, maybe its time for new blood to come into the equations. Im sure some heads are going to be on the chopping board now. Hopefully some good decisions are made for both the short & long term future of the sport.

This Jaguh Kampung mentally must be destroyed once and for all!!

We don’t want a sepak takraw to happen, women’s squash be nice ;)
