Lights Up!

When you vote during the elections, you vote for someone who will look both big and small that should be looked at.In Malaysia we are so used to the having politicians being a few steps higher than the regular citizen and for someone to gain access to your elected representative is normally extremely difficult.

The elected representative’s job is to to represent the voters in a particular constituency and bring these problems to the right sources and ultimately getting the problems resolved. After the 8th of March there was a better mix of oppositions in the equation as ruling party representatives. This is superb as there is a balance that keeps those in office on their toes and to perform up to expectations.

One of my favourite elected representative is Hannah Yeoh, she has been very impressive in my eyes in her work and simply focused on her constituency in making it a safe place to live in and always accessible. If you read her blog some of the work that she has been doing, it gives you a good feeling that the people of Subang Jaya have done well in voting her into office.

This is a superb example! There are about 27 parks which got lighted up at night after numerous complains by residents in the Subang are. Hannah’s team work hard in getting the parks well lite up and more can expect to get some light making it safer for the residence and to curb those who normally have fields days in the dark!

It may seem like not a big deal to some but i think little things like this are vital as it will help prevent un-wanted things from happening. Congratulations Hannah Yeoh and Subang Jaya!!

Things like this gives lots of Malaysians hope that there are politicians out there who are interested in the well being and not just the power, fame and moolah!

I agree to disagree. It’s a catch 22 situation. While the park can be used for good things at night, like playing games, exercising and dancing, it can also be used for bad, like loitering, drinking and well, robbing the innocent users of the park.

While I appreciate the lighted parks, it’s still useless if we don’t have policemen patrolling the area frequently enough. Crime rates have rocketed and I don’t see much being done by said force. They are paid to do their jobs, not hang around in the hawker stalls. Let’s just say I’d rather pay protection money to the mob at this current moment, because technically it’s the same thing.

RT @kennleandre: Does Tan Keng Liang represent the government? I doubt that. Then why are these people still going to him for debates?
