Lee Chong Wei has done it!! The singles ace has bagged the Malaysian open at Bukit Jalil Stadium.he top seeded Chong Wei came through unscathed despite immense pressure to beat South Korean Lee Hyun-il, who is the protege of the Malaysian’s former coach, Li Mao, 21-15, 11-21, 21-17 in a 62-minute final. And after the victory, Li Mao gave him a hug and a pat on the back for his winning performance.
If only our doubles pairs performed slightly better, we be celebrating a double whammy at home soil.Well done Chong Wei and hopefully he has a superb 2008 and eventually clinches the world no 1 spot and makes it his own!!
Tip for Chong Wei - Speak to Nicol, she seems pretty good at becoming world no 1 and staying there

I had been there during the Malaysia Open Final. The shuttlecock went swish swosh with accelerating speed and I could not afford to blink even for a second.. Every moves which earned a point by Chong Wei sent the crowds into volcanic eruptions of claps and shouts..Me too , contribute a little.. When CHong Wei finally scored his last point , triumph overwhelmed me..I am proud of him , I am proud of Malaysia..All the best to him!!
