Jaguh Kampung

If you are a regular on my blog, you surely know that im a supporter of our national badminton team. Personally i felt that this installment of the Thomas Cup, we had the best chance in a while to regain the throphy we last won in 1992 but after watching the team crash to Japan and barely beat the Danes, it makes me wonder if we have what it takes to crack it.

A friend brought me to the attention of the mental state of the team and the player i personally am not the biggest fan of, Hafiz Hashim , why..because i dont see the sense of urgency in his game and the way he responds to his defeat tells me that its ok to lose, and the team is not to be blamed..yes i know the team is not to be blamed but at least show some emotion that you will try harder and make it happen?!

Anyway, this is what he posted on his facebook profile has this to say after loosing his game against a opponent who is about 200 positions below him in the world ranking (its removed now, thank god i got a print screen :P ) ->

And the fellow Jaguh’s chip in..

Not mocking but other than Badminton, squash..What else do Malaysians have to cheer about? And if those in the sport must know that they represent a whole nation and not themselves! I still hope they pull thru and win it to prove skeptics like me wrong!

Yeah, it was embarassing that we lost to Japan and there’s no sense of urgency. Hope we pull our act together. Though, it’ll be a tough one against China tonight.
