Inflation at 7.7%

So here we are, we have arrived at a 26year high of 7.7% high in inflation. Prices have soared and cost of living is at a up. In a nutshell everything has got up except salary. For a average Malaysian, survival is in question. There has been soo much attention on Dato Seri Anwar, Najib, Pak lah,Saiful, Altantuya and even C4 but what really happening to the real interest of the nation…its people??

Inflation is Soaring and the People are getting burnt!

Inflation is Soaring and the People are getting burnt!

I read a article on the blog of the Mp of Kapar, YB Manikavasagam on the real issues that we are facing while how conveniently the attention is simply politicking. While simply computing is has become a heavy burden, the rakyat are looking for alternatives in public transport which is honestly not ready to handle the volume. In a story i read today, that too is set to a 20% hike..So what now??

DSAI keep singing his consistent tune that if Pakatan rakyat rules today, prices of fuel will drop tomorrow. I sure hope something like that happens. For the ordinary Malaysian its not about Anwar or Najib or Pak lah. Its about survival and the way things are being done now…!?@$

If you ask a leader to comment about the situation the expected answer will come in the form of comparison with countries which are in shite conditions them selves, why are we comparing with inferior economies or countries which are doing a crap job??  You guys are the experts and you should know how to handle this, don’t give us excuses because if you cant do the job, there are many who can!

What are your thoughts? What do you think should be happening now considering the current circumstances?

Its depressing isn’t it?!

May you care to elaborate on countries that are doing well now, regardless the G7 or developing nations – in the midst of the rise of oil prices and the American mortgage/credit crunch?

Just back from South Thailand. Prices there seem exactly the same for the past 4+ years despite their higher costs of fuel. Now over RM4 a litre.

Malaysians need to understand that some people vote BN and support the government because it pays… the inflation is benefititing individuals while most suffer. Of course if you get to make more money you will love BN – but for most – the inflation is a killer.

The BN is creating and maintaining an environment that only suits themselves and their cronies.

“two face” you said “May you care to elaborate on countries that are doing well now, regardless the G7 or developing nations” -

Yes there are some counties which are doing well or at least are suffering less in the financial climate.

Thailand as I just mentioned is a political mess and in the south a semi-war-zone and prices there have not budged an inch.

Apart from the Thai petrol prices it’s still a much better option to take your RM and spend it in Thailand to get the best value out of it.

Thailand, unlike Malaysia can get through tougher times with ease – this is simply because it has far more diverse and developed industries than Malaysia which relies on 50% of its budget from oil alone.

Thailand has far better tourism and seafood industires for example – both of which will support the Thai economy no matter what happens with oil.

Malaysia is just another middle eastern country – but located in the wrong place. Just like analysts know and have known for a long time that the middle east economies will die with the run out of oil – the same will happen to Malaysia without investing perhaps 10 times the current amount in alternative industries.
