I wonder how it works??? Are they giving you a mobile number? Or it is a VoIP?
From what i hear, they are going to be using the current digi network and your numbers will be 014
Are you sure?? as far i remember, i saw ads at cineleisure damansara saying it will be using the 018 number.
Your prolly right as well cause it be riding on the digi network so tats 014,016&018
You’re only half right to say Happy (014) network’s voice call rate is low. It’s not the AirAsia of mobile plans. Far from it, actually.
It is only cheap if the other party is as free as you are to talk for up to 45 mins? If you’re a working person, or someone other than a raging hormonal teen… talking for 30 mins on the phone will get you fired, divorced or failing in exams.
People should realize that if you talk for 1 minute, the costs is 1 sen/sec x 60 = 60 sen.
That’s 60sen a minute call!
Isn’t that the MOST EXPENSIVE rate Malaysia mobile users have ever seen in like half a decade?
You’ll have to speak for more than 7 minutes to make any savings at all as compared to other pre-paid mobile plans which charge 15-20sen a minute. Happy 014 may be capped at a maximum of 99sen, but even IF you talk for three minutes for 99sen, it’s still 33 sen a minute! More expensive than anything else in Malaysia. So make sure every call you make is at least 7 minutes long… to save ANY money.
Just do a mental math. 15 sen/a min x 6 = 90 sen (on a regular mobile plan). You only play 90 sen for 6 minutes on a regular Maxis plan. Versus 99 sen for six minutes on the HAPPY network.
To see if the new Malaysian Happy network is for you…just calculate how many times do you make over 6 minute calls.
An example phone call:
Mr A: *ring* *ring* hey mum.
Mum: Oh hi, Mr A. When are you coming home for dinner?
Mr A: Not tonight mum. I am having dinner with my colleagues.
Mum: Ok. Then. No prob, we won’t wait up for you.
Mr A: OH…. but mum! Don’t hang up. Let’s talk for 7 minutes! Or else it’s a very expensive phone call at 60 sens a minute.
Mum: WHAT THE?! The vege is going to turn into chlorophyl plasma on the wok. You dumb child. I am hanging up now… @#$%

Note: Happy is especially worth it, if you’re receiving plenty of calls and making VERY long phone calls most of the time. I’ve never known. With minimal top up and 60 days validity it’s good for those who only receive calls.
Dude..thats the some superb work man!!I guess there is a niche that will go for it..maybe just not me n you:)
a good deal for those who are using prepaid and always wish to have long chats with frens or bf..gf..
normally, ur call will be cut off when it is already 40 minutes.
Normal call rate is 0.15 per minute
0.15 * 40 = RM6
but now with HAPPY..we only need to pay RM0.99
good deal wat..
Dun worry, kenny..Most ppl are smart and will know how to use this HAPPY to gain the benefit.
