I remember back in the 90′s when every other car on the road had a flag on it during Merdeka, every office or shop lot had their Jalur Gemilang hoisted. This year its slightly quiter than normal but never the less it is Malaysia’s Independence Day. Sad or Happy about the current conditions, it is a day to leave all that aside and celebrate the birth of our nation.
Hopefully the spirit will be back in years to come and it could be a real celebration of our nation.
