What is your definition of success. Many times you find people telling you what success is based on what they think success is to them. Well, that may be true…for you but really does it apply to everyone?
- I know people where success is measured by money. The more money you have, the more successful you are.
- There are some people who measure it from how high up in a organization they are
- Some people who measure it based on how famous they are
- Some on how many dreams they dash
ALL KINDS OF MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS
This whole success meter debate can go on forever but for me i personally think that you should make us your own mind on what success is to you. Don’t let anyone make that decision on what success is because thats what most people use to fuel their lives.
You don’t want to get us on your 55th birthday reflecting on what you have achieved to only realize that it REALLY wasn’t what you wanted.
Its subjective, i equate success to happiness. If something makes me happy, i become successful.
- If im happy doing my job, i do really well at it hence the remuneration or the promotion follows -success
- If i get to marry the women i love, i get to keep my sanity (lucky me!
) Hence i have peaceful and fulfilled life – success - If i enjoy talking to people and learning new things, i meet new people and learn new things – Success
I have met people who are impose what they think success is on to other people forgetting that the other person is a individual themselves with very different needs and wants hence it maybe the wrong formula and i have also seen people who set their goals based on others.
No right or wrong answers BUT do it your way .. Its your life after all!!
