In an effort to promote the three Federal Territories, a competition was launched yesterday with about RM500,000 worth of prizes up for grabs.
Launched by the Federal Territories Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin, the competition entitled “Blog for FT” will end on Jan 5 next year.
“Bloggers are free to write on lifestyle, tourism, music, heritage and culture, architecture, community events and life in Federal Territories. We also welcome constructive suggestions and ideas.”
Entries can be in the form of text, visual or video in either Bahasa Malaysia or English.
The competition is divided into four categories — general, juniors (aged 18 and below), Malaysian media and international category (non-Malaysians).
Among the prizes offered:
Peugeot 308 VTI, a Kia Optima 2.0, Naza Prisma motorcycles, Dell computers, Blackberry Bold, Ipod Touch, Sony Playstation 3, Sony PSP, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co vouchers worth RM500 each, flight tickets and hotel stays.
This is a good opportunity for bloggers to go out and find out more about the Federal Territories and get creative. I dont think a general posting giving information about the FT is going to bag you a prize so get cracking!
