The month of November has been very eventful for us in Malaysia .We have witnessed 2 rallies, the Bersih rally and then the Hindraf one now where do we go from here? I’m a strong believer that we are all here for a reason! The leaders jobs are to govern and its our jobs as stakeholders to evaluate if the management is right for us! Lets look at the country like a huge business, the biggest business in the country which we all are a part off. You pay taxes and reap benefits off it so you do have a say via the ballot boxes.

Bersih and Hindraf have been eye openers for me at least, it was a education of how the management dealt with a crisis and you normally see the real deal in such scenario’s. So what do i do now as a stakeholder who genuinely is concerned of this business? No i don’t start updating my resume and see if i match entry requirements into new businesses but i plan how i want to lead my life in the interest of people closest to my heart. I have decided to gather as much information on who the department heads are and see if they are still the right people to take the company to the next step.

Below is Delirium’s 5 step guide on what we should all do before the next election

Step 1

Check if you are registered proper and if needs any amendments, where and how do you do that? Simple, go HERE and put your identification details in and it will show you exactly where your registered. If the details are not right please go to your nearest post office and get that fixed! If your not registered to vote you don’t have much time left cause from the looks of things, the election cant be far off and the speed of the way things are done..Go register fast and keep your fingers crossed and hope that you are in the system come the elections.

Step 2

Find out where your voting district is and if its not right….YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!

Step 3

Find our who the member of parliament is, if they have been running the show for a while..chances are they are going to stand in for a re-election.Look at what that person has done and if you are happy with that(do your research!) If you think its time for a change, research the others standing for election and research if possibility that could be the right person to for you!

Step 4

If your not sure speak to people and that should help you with the deciding process.Remember that people will tell you what they know and chances are its going to be biased to what they feel so think about it and decide yourself on what is in your best interest.

Step 5(IMPORTANT)

Come the elections, cancel all plans and make sure you go vote!! Its once in 5 years and your vote counts! If you don’t vote, you don’t have whining rights SO make sure you do that!

The Internet is a wonderful thing and the information is there if you really want to find it. There are countless sites and resources of where you can get your information from and I will be sharing a little about the district ill be casting my vote and the member of parliament together with how I found this information!

This should be interesting but its important in ensuring the stable future of the country we call home!

    Agreed Abi!! :D

You could choose not to vote if you don’t support either party but please make sure you are still a registered voter because the numbers will come into play.
