There was a article on The Star yesterday indicating that Astro will go High Definition real soon! This is definitely good news for everyone as finally the HD Ready, HD and FULL HD tv owners can enjoy the quality they should be getting from the satellite tv provider.
To enjoy the HD experience there will be some upgrading required from the consumers as well in form of the satellite dish and decoder which will have a HDMI connection, composite outputs, Ethernet port, an USB port and even a digital audio output for 5.1-channel surround sound audio.
I have been waiting for this to happen for a while now and hopefully ill get a chance to test it out and update on the quality that is in line. Singapore’s Singtel has HD Tv via mIo so i look forward to compare both soon
