The music director for the Opening Ceremony at the Beijing Olympics has admitted that a young girl who delivered a key performance during the show, lip-synched her song.

Chen Qigang says the pigtailed nine-year-old girl, Lin Miaoke, was actually a stand-in for the real singer who was not considered attractive enough.

The real singer, Yang Peiyi, is seven, and has a chubby face and crooked teeth.

Chen says organizers made the decision at the request of a high-ranking Communist Party official, adding that they were thinking about doing what was best for the nation.

So much fake..but for ultimately for a superb show!

If i were a medal winner during th games, i’de check my medals!!

Again BBC was taking about this.

If you go to a concert, do you see ugly people around? I don’t think so…

It’s entertainment so just leave it a lone. If the real singer felt insulted her parents would have pulled her out right….

O ya, remember the kid who walked with Yao Meng? He had a ball spot on his head right? He was labeled a HERO for saving those kids in the earthquake.

A pretty face is important of a camera close and plus if the screen’s huge it’s going matter more. China just wanted to look really good. This is a major event not just for them but for ASIA. So just give them a break is what the world should do.
