In laymans terms, did you watch Avatar in the theaters and did they give you this huge pair of glasses to wear while watching it? Well if you felt like you were so close to purple people and was afraid you almost got kissed, Thats 3D!
Now imagine having one of those at home? Imagine watching football and the feel of the ball coming so close to it you end up heading a wall thinking its the ball
, Next month thats going to hit our shores!
Samsung has confirmed that its range of 3D TVs will be available for retail next month. Samsung and Panasonic have these units for sale in the US already but only Samsung will have it available starting next month, Panasonic dont know when it will be available in Malaysia yet.
Now the price , Units range from US$2,500 to US$3,300 (RM8,300 to RM11,000).
Since we are still settling to LCD or Plasma’s, i suspect retail outlets will be the first to get it and eventually the high end markets will start getting these units. How cool would it be if your favourite mamak with a 3D tv?!
Food For Thought, so if you decide to take the plunge and get a 3D tv.. Where you going to get your content from? Astro? They are struggling to even give us decent HD!
