Slumdog Millionaire, a “feel good” movie that won four awards at the Golden Globe has raised eyebrows amongst the world. I managed to catch the movie and personally i felt it was a good movie, not the best i have seen compared too the Transformers or a Dark Knight.
It has yet to hit our shores or this region but after its Golden Globe exploits i sure hope it makes it here. I liked the main role played by Dev Patel‘s performance, It was fresh and natural and im sure he has a bright future ahead of him as far as his acting career is concerned.
Will you watch it at the theaters if it makes it too our shores?

Earth Hour in Malaysia is slowly gaining momentum. There is a new buzz that is hitting our shores that promises to bring Malaysians and fellow friends from around the world together by turning out their lights for one hour on the 28th of March 2009 between 8.30pm-9.30pm.
Last year, there was about 35 countries around the world which brought together 50 million people to turn off their lights to show support for climate change. Now is this just some sort of gimmick?
Personally i know that’s its not a gimmick! This year, the target is 1 billion people around the world to turn out their lights. If you don’t know yet, the governments of the world will be meeting on the 7th-11th December at Copenhagen for the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
There is a strong vibe around the world that the global voice or the masses rather can bring change. From Malaysian political scene to Obama-mania in America, its clear that if we all do what we are supposed to do, collectively it will have its impact. If we can lobby 1/6th of the world’s population to call for strong guidelines, we can make a difference.
Its time for all of us in Malaysia and everyone around the world to take the first step to start our quest to preserve our planet. Earth Hour is the start for the world to come together irrespective of your race, nationality and colour. You can click the Earth Hour banner on the sidebar to take you to the Earth Hour Malaysian page to get the latest!
I will be blogging from time to time about progress in Malaysia and some landmark announcements!

Last season Malaysian football fans were left dissapointed after the match between Manchester United and the Malaysian national team got canceled after some small drama with AFC. That was nothing but a small hiccup as the Red Devils will come to Malaysia in the summer to take on the Malaysian national team as part of the Asian Tour!
“Our tour to Asia is always special. The atmosphere generated by the supporters is amazing. Asia is also a vital part of our commercial growth and close to half of the club’s over 300 million fans are in Asia and the figure continues to grow,” said Gill, announcing details of the Asian Tour
Hopefully United will come to Malaysia as the runner of the premier league come May this year :p
There have been many calls for Malaysians to boycott US products and stop using them.Since that call came along there have been many jokes about why i was at work as i cant use my Dell made PC to work anymore. I cant even use a Mimos pc because there OS is American can and etc…
Well, im not ecomonist but this is a sneak peak of what can happen if we start taking drastic measures like boycotting a product just because it is from America.
The world’s largest chipmaker is closing two assembly test facilities in Penang, Malaysia and one in Cavite, Philippines and will halt production at a plant in Hillsboro, Oregon. It will also end wafer production at a facility in Santa Clara, California. All five are older factories, the company said.
I heard thats about 5,000 jobs that are lost.So my take, if you want to boycott…There are many countries that need the investments which the American companies can decide to move. Imagine if all American companies decide to boycott Malaysia?
Sad situation it would leave us in isn’t it?
Im not sure about the majority, but i don’t care where a product is from. Im more interested in the quality and value for money. That be like looking at my race or religion before hiring me for a job and not if i can do the job OR giving me a discount before i can even show interest in buying a house!
A friend of a friend said this to me yesterday… We just keep throwing shit to the fan! (I agree
)
Wait a min..sounds familiar huh?
