KWSP Scam?

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Received this today via email. Maybe someone who has allowed housing deductions to be made from his  KWSP account  can verify if the following allegation is true

This is another method for KWSP to steal our money!
Remember during Budget 2008 announcement last yr, our Finance Minister (cum PM) announced that in order to assist KWSP members to reduce the burden in housing load repayment, KWSP will allow monthly withdrawal from members’ A/C II for the purpose?

Sounds like a nice goodie?! (more…)

The Last Of The La Salle Brothers

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

I was a La Sallian from Standard 1 till i finished school in form 5, that was 11 years of being a La Sallian! I take a lot of pride in being a part of this institution which is regarded as one of the best around the world. I remember while i was back in school at La Salle in PJ it was almost the end of the La Salle brotherhood before the local’s toke over the reigns in leading the school.

While the brother’s were in charge, the school was known for its high discipline and no nonsense approach which changed dramatically as every brother that lead the school came from one mind set and after them, it was constant struggle to keep up to the high standards the brothers set in.

Naturally when you don’t come from a single system, a change of leadership would result in a change of style and hence in my view the quality dropped to a certain extend.

The La Salle brothers not only had schools that went by the name of La Salle which i was from but also many others like St Johns & St Xavier’s who just had the last brother who was in the reign retiring. Its definitely going to be different now and its going to be truly missed.

Brother Paul Ho’s retirement will be a double milestone as he represents the last Brother principal in Malaysia.

Congratulations to the La Salle brothers for the superb job they have been doing all these years and there are many community leaders and prolific figures that this very system has churned out. I’m surely blessed and happy that i was part of this very system.

Jalan Alor Stays…We Hope

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

The name change of Jalan Alor to Jalan Kejora has become the talk of the town. From the hawkers to tourist to the ordinary citizen was not too pleased about the name that has become more of a houshold name for its eateries for over 35 years sudenly got a new name to fit the other names of streets around it.

In the latest development Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Zulhasnan Rafique has said that Jalan Alor will keep its name! This can be only good news for 2 reasons the way i see it.

1) The street which name is already known can stay the way it is and people will be able to easily find it and not go in circles because its called Jalan Kejora now!

2) The government are actually listening to the cries of the people and taking it seriously! ITS ABOUT TIME!

Having said all that, i hope that the government will be more sensitive towards issues like renaming streets, as lots of people take pride in “minor issues” like this and its important to get the general consensus before making such harsh decisions. The nation belongs to the people that live in it and not a few people who has the power.

The Exit of Bush

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

With the America going out to vote on the 4th of November the highlight would be who will be the next President of “the worlds most powerful nation”. It could be Barrack Obama or John McCain who the world will be hearing a lot from over the next 4 years or so.

Even more than that would be the exit of in my view one of the worst Presidents the world has ever seen. For me he has been utter rubbish and some of his decisions has taken us to the lousy state of the world. This is a clear reason why i think Barrack Obama has got to win the elections to effectively start reforming the nation into a serious force.

I have friends who think that McCain should win it for what ever reason…I respect them BUT what if the 72 year old man sudenly has a mishap and passes on? Sarah Palin the new President of the United States of America??

Anyway, im sure ill have heaps of these kind of postings before the actual elections so back to my my goodbye’s to the guy responsible for invading and destroying a few countries and making a mockery out of the world in the process. Anyway….found a appropriate video in tribute of the great George W Bush ..

Enjoy :)

Thank You GEORGE W BUSH :)
