Perez Hilton Speaks About RPK

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Not only Malaysians are disgusted with the arrested at the arrest of RPK. Famous hollywood blogger Perez Hilton has blogged about RPK in his blog. In his posting, he says :

A controversial Malaysian blogger named Raja Petra Kamaruddin has been detained for criticizing the Malaysian government and ‘insulting’ Islam.

And, as if that weren’t troubling enough, the blogger is going to be locked up – without a trial – for TWO YEARS!

His wife told the media, “(Police) said my husband has been sent to Kamunting this morning and that he will remain there for two years with no trial. This is the worst news I can receive but we will keep fighting for his release.”

The blogger’s attorney said the government had pulled a “mean, dirty trick” by issuing the detention order the night before a scheduled court hearing on Tuesday to secure his release. “The government can now hide behind a veil of secrecy because they do not have to disclose reasons for detaining him.”

God bless America.

We always give thanks for the freedom we have to speak our mind!

The world is watching and are in disgust of our government. Embarrassing!

Getting Impatient Aren’t We?

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Sept 16 was a date that most Malaysians were waiting eagerly for. Then there was the Sept 23rd which was the date that was set by Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the PM to call for the emergency parliamentary hearing. That didn’t happen. So what next?

I tell you what happen since then.. Malaysians have become impatient and started suspecting if the Pakatan politicians have the numbers to start with? Sceptics came out their guns blazing and from the BN leaders, supporters,to even some Pakatan supporters.

Fair enough..patients is not exactly a virtue many people have and you cant blame them considering the current political climate and economically situation of the nation.

Below are a series of questions that you need to answer very honestly and this should help put things in perspective in my view. (more…)

RIP Politickler

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Politickler.com has been my political bloggin innitiation for almost a year while some friends helped with the contribution of the articles, more than 99% of the articles were from me. While maintaining politicker, i was also maintaining delirium and a few other sites.

I have realized that it was getting a little hard to maintain a few sites thus the decision to bury politickler and focus on just delirium. A few friends who i believe religiously read politickler have stated their disappointment and think that I’m backing off from blogging about politics. (more…)

Political Blogging

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

Politics has been a topic that has always interest me. I was previously blogging on politickler.com will be removed within the next few days so i have decided that its time to remove the anonymous tag and put a name on the stories that i post.

I would use Raja Petra as a perfect role model. He was always accountable for his postings and never hid or went into hiding. Its abi who blogs on abinesh.com or its any other author who blogs with their own identity here there needs to be accountability.

Just because the cops are arresting bloggers and that must have freaked out a few. I personally think that there is nothing to worry about. We are all law abiding citizens and as long as what ever you are blogging about is in moderation. Nothing can happen to you!

I always wanted to meet RPK and shake his hand for his great work but it looks like i have to wait for at least 2 years before i get that opportunity to meet the man. Meanwhile, I’m going to blog without fear and tell stories the way i see it. Hopefully i would be able to help clear up some doubts for some of my Malaysian brothers and sisters or learn from everyone.

Towards a Malaysia for ALL Malaysians!

Milky Situation

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

China is the fastest blooming nation in the world. Lately most multi nationals have started to move their productions to China due to the cost and many people around the world loosing their jobs. In keeping up with the cheap trend, the Chinese have sudenly found wealth coming their way and the rat race to grab a piece of the pie has lead to some horrible business practices being done to meet the low price demand.

The latest issue has been the milk situation. The scandal see’s formula milk powder contaminated with melamine, which causes kidney stones and agonising complications. The industrial substance, normally used in plastics, is believed to have been added to watered-down milk to make it appear higher in protein.

Now you may wonder what is melamine(Wiki)? (more…)

10km/p Slower Saves Lives

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

According to a report by Utusan Malaysia, all federal and state roads will have its speed limits reduced by 10km/h between the 25th of September 2008 to the 12th of October 2008. Transport Ministry secretary general Datuk Zakaria Bahari says this move is part of an effort to “reduce highway accidents” during the Hari Raya season.

It looks like law-abiding citizens will have to set off earlier for their balik kampung trips thanks to the lower speed limit. This is actually not something new – apparently lowering the speed limit has been in practice since 2006.

Now this is a problem in my view. I dont think its the speed limits that cause accidents but the reckless drivers that the root cause of accidents. Driving slow on a road that is pratically never ending and starring at you would make one sleepy. I tend to be much more alert when im driving a little faster and i hope that the reduction of the speed limit does not cause more accidents and everyone gets back to their kampung’s safely!

Have a safe journey back and if you come across a annoying or reckless driver..Let him go by because its just not worth it!!

World Cup 2010 mascot revealed

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

The official mascot of the 2010 World Cup was unveiled yesterday in Johannesburg — a green-haired leopard named Zakumi — Fifa announced at a television gala broadcast nationwide.

.

Zakumi — the ZA stands for South Africa while kumi means 10 in assorted African languages — has been exclusively designed in the host country which will stage the continent’s first ever World Cup in 21 month’s time.

Its a huge task to stage the worlds biggest football stage and South Africa have ot their work cut out for them. Hopefully they do pull it through and make it the best tournament yet. Cant wait already! :)

RPK Sent To Kamunting

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

This is a truly sad day for all Malaysians and a severe dent to the freedom of speech .RPK will be sent to the Kamunting Detention Center in Taiping, Perak today to begin his two-year detention under the Internal Security Act.

Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had signed his detention order last night for the blogger to be held without trial under section 8(1) of the tough security law. Under the Act, the government can renew his detention indefinitely.

There was 1 brave blogger who revealed a lot of information without any fear and those allegations were never investigated by any party but he was slammed into a corner and put into detention without trial to keep him quiet.

RPK will join the Hindraf 5 at Kamunting the other detainee’s who have been detained under this horrible piece of law. Sick! THIS IS THE DARK SIDE OF MALAYSIA.

I’m wondering how come Raja Petra’s allegations were not investigated and brought to the court of law? How come whenever a case is filled against the ruling govt, we don’t hear about it?

Mr Syed Hamid, how do you sleep at night?
