Red Robbie

Liverpool have completed the signing of Spur’s Robbie Keane for 20Mil Pounds. He will be replacing Peter Crouch who moved to Pompey a few weeks ago. Personally i think this is a great signing, he has been a good player for Spurs and pretty explosive. The prospects of having Keane line up together with Torres is pretty juicy. I think that no Voronin, Arbeloa and Alonso may be sold to raise funds for the purchase of Gareth Barry.
Keane is the fifth summer addition to Rafa Benitez’s first-team squad after the arrival of David Ngog, Diego Cavalieri, Philipp Degen and Andrea Dossena.
Personally i selling Voronin is ok but i think Alonso and Pennant are pretty awesome players which i rather see wearing a red shirt than anything else. The new season is about 3 weeks time and i cant wait!!

Soccer Heroes - R.Arumugam

Famously known as Spiderman, R Arumugan is easily a household name when it comes to Malaysian football. He was born on January 31, 1953 in Port Klang he was one of those players who were born to play the game. He made his debut into football at the age of 18 representing Selangor.
Representing Selangor from 1972 to 1988, he helped the time to go on and win the Malaysia Cup eight times.
The goalkeeper earned his first cap when he represented the Malaysia national football team in 1973 for the World Cup qualifying round matches in Seoul, South Korea. He is also a bronze medalist for the Asian games in Tehran in 1974. Arumugam was also part of the Malaysian team that qualified for the 1980 Moscow Olympics however the team boycotted that golden opportunity.
He was known to be part of the spine of the team together with Mokthar Dahari and Soh Chin Aun, He agility was second to none and his commanding presence at the goal was a constant fear to team mates and opponents. From his performances it clearly showed like his team mates the pride in wearing the national colours and playing every match like it were a cup finals.
Arumugam passed away on the 18th of December 1988 in a car accident on the federal highway at the age of 35. This news shocked the entire football fraternity and fans. Till today most goalkeepers in this region set Spiderman as a benchmark that they would like to emulate.
It was that era when players were chosen on merit of their performances. All of them who wore the national colours went out to make the nation proud. If only the current crop had 50% of that!!

Prison Break - Season 4

July 25, 2008
Prison break fans, the brand spanking season 4 is almost here! Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows are back for another season after a half way season 3 ended due to the Screen Actors Guild which protested by a strike , in addition to the recently resolved writers strike. The strike, which could occur after the expiration of SAG’s major contracts in June 2008, would stem from the current handling of royalties from the sale of films distributed through new media methods. Im glad all that has been sorted and now its back to business as usual.
Some of the things to look forward too :
Sarah Wayne Callies is returning to Prison Break: “Prison Break is bringing back Dr. Sara Tancredi, Sarah Wayne Callies, as a regular character for season four. Olmstead makes it clear that isn’t Sara’s head after all, and she’s been alive, although not necessarily well, this whole time.”
Season 4 Storyline
Matt Olmstead reveals: “Season four is jumping-forward, hit-the-ground-running storytelling. But we are dropping back, in flashback, and explaining how the characters got to where they are and the situation with her, certainly.”
“Paul Scheuring the creator has already a genius idea for Prison Break Season 4″. We are entrusted by Kevin Hooks, one of the producers even though the episode 14 to 22 of season 3 haven’t been written yet. The shootings has been delayed from January to February becuase of the strike.
Mark Your calenders, its 1st of September 2008 when Prison Break goes back on air!
