Spain Are Euro 08 Champions

The Euro 2008 is now over! I watched the Euro 08 finals with Shashi and Danny at Stevens Corner at OUG last night and i must say the frenzy this year is not as big as previous years but still not that bad. Danny picked me up at about 130am and we made our way to the landmark ‘mamak’ which was not full as yet.

The crowd started coming in as the kick off neared and by the time the game started it was packed!

Spain were worthy winners of the night dominating most of the play and came close in more than 1 occasion to score. The Liverpool hot shot, Fernando Torres bagged the winner in his trademark runs and flick over the helpless Lehmann who saw the ball rolling into the net.

The Germans were lack luster for most of the match except a few sparks of brilliance that hardly troubled the spanish captain Iker Cassilas. The Spaniards managed to hold on to the lead till the final wrap-up by the Italian referee and effectively became the European Champions.

Im sure the folks at Liverpool would be delighted with the results with Torres and Alonso both featuring in the squad together with Reina and Arbeloa sitting on the bench. Hopefully this sparks off the Reds of Merseyside to do well in the new season of the EPL that starts on the 15th of August.

Defrag Tools

Im one of those who diligently cleans up my disk space and defrag’s my notebook at least once every 1 weeks. I dont know if its neccesary but its a habit for me. All this while ive been using the normal disk cleaner and defrag tools of Vista but lately i started using CCleaner for a clean up and i think its pretty decent so far.

Now its time for a external app to do the defrag for me, jsut to see if its any better.

Below are a list of candidates

Any ideas which would do the job well??

Ubuntu Testing

Danny(my internet guru) is a linux champion and still i had never tried using linux as a OS but lately i have taken a special interest in linux which i know jack about!! just completed the download of ubuntu and its now burnt on a cd at home.

Since i have a 50gb un-touched partition on my notebook, im going to try the entire open source experience out!! This will of course include thunderbird, open office and pretty mush as much open source softwares i can find!! Wish me luck!

Should be interesting :)
