What is a page Subscription?

If you like to keep up to date with the latest posts and comments from abinesh dot com you can subscribe by RSS.

What is RSS?

RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

Why RSS? Benefits and Reasons for using RSS

RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time by not needing to visit each site individually. You ensure your privacy, by not needing to join each site’s email newsletter.

You can choose how these feeds are delivered to you.It maybe emails or just a reader, I personally use Google Reader which shows the pages I’m subscribed too and the latest updates for the day.If i want to go to the site to read more/comment all i need to do is click on the header(of the topic) or the url name and a new browser opens with the site!

If you don’t use RSS yet then the easiest way is to subscribe by email. Just enter your email address below and you will receive a maximum of one email a day with a summary of any new posts that have been made that day

Heres a good video to watch what will explain in more detail called RSS in plain english.

So now you understand the benefit’s of using RSS feeds and if your not subscribed to abinesh dot com ,It’s time to subscribe to mine Here :)

Angkasa-Who?

RM95Mil later the name Angkasawan is no longer to be seen/heard.There was soo much hype and all Malaysians had a proud phase when the first Malaysian astronaut made it to the space station ate nasi lemak and some kuih-muih and came back successfully missing the landing spot due to the extra fat gained from the local delicacies consumed on orbit .

So what now? We have a National Space Agency also that was setup for this purpose which I’m sure have lots of staff who need to keep it running(more ongoing funding required) Lots of money spent and serves what purpose?

Beats me….We are pretty rich eh! What you think about this drama? Good? Bad? or Simply a publicity stunt?

Australian Open 2008

The tennis calender kicked off at the Australian Open and this was the first time im watching tennis with so much interest, why? Because there are 2 new names to look out for, Novak Djokovic of Serbia and France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Both these boys are the latest sensations to hit the stage after knocking off Nadal and Federer respectively to make the finals. What impresses most is both these players are pure athletes and showed tennis lovers that they are names to look out for this season other then the normal Nadal and Federer. I was routing for Tsonga to bag it but experience played its part for Novak who went on to win it in 4 games 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-6.

Even though the Mohammad Ali look alike Tsonga didn’t win I’m sure the run he had in the Australian Open will give him confidence to outshine the seasoned campaigners. This is my choice for this year and i will be following his games this year! :)
