Bersih,Hindraf…Now what?

The month of November has been very eventful for us in Malaysia .We have witnessed 2 rallies,the Bersih rally and then the Hindraf one now where do we go from here? I’m a strong believer that we are all here for a reason! The leaders jobs are to govern and its our jobs as stakeholders to evaluate if the management is right for us! Lets look at the country like a huge business, the biggest business in the country which we all are a part off. You pay taxes and reap benefits off it so you do have a say via the ballot boxes.

Bersih and Hindraf have been eye openers for me at least, it was a education of how the management dealt with a crisis and you normally see the real deal in such scenario’s. So what do i do now as a stakeholder who genuinely is concerned of this business? No i don’t start updating my resume and see if i match entry requirements into new businesses but i plan how i want to lead my life in the interest of people closest to my heart. I have decided to gather as much information on who the department heads are and see if they are still the right people to take the company to the next step.

Hindraf Rally, the way I see it

A day after the Hindraf rally im sure most of us have got our own versions of what happened(depending where your reading) .Its totally 2 different stories from the mainstream papers as compared to the sites and accounts from those who were there. One of my friends Danny was there, he went there with his dad and sister and shares his experience on thedaneshprojects. Its very clear from his experience that this was a wake up call for us Malaysians, yes i know it was by the indians with the intention of handing the petition to the UK embassy but take a few steps back and look at the bigger picture… We are Malaysians and from Danny’s experience it is not a Indian,Chinese or a Malay thing it is a Malaysian thing!Nobody is against anyone, we dont hate our own brothers and sisters.

Orang Utan are Endangered

WWF is running a appeal to the general public in their conservation work.Did you know that the Orang Utan’s can only be found on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra.Now you know why there is soo much said about the Orang Utan on this region as compared too anywhere else.The status of the Orang Utan is endangered Globally and vulnerable in Sabah & Sarawak.

Good News - There is almost no hunting of this species in Malaysia this year

Bad News - They are loosing their habitat

How can you help??

No you don have to plant a tree or give up your job and go save Orang Utan’s ,lets leave that bit to the safe hands of the people at WWF to do that.They need our support in order for them to do their job.

Hindraf trio Busted

Have you seen the massive road blocks heading into KL since Friday? That’s apparently to scare people precausions for the rally on Sunday. The irony is none of my Chinese or Malay friends got effected by it, i got stopped every time i passed one.

In wake of this rally Three members of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) were charged under the Sedition Act 1948.  P. Waythamoorthy, his brother Uthayakumar, and V.S. Ganapathi Rao claimed trial to the charge as the row over a planned illegal rally raged on.Three members of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) were charged under the Sedition Act 1948, and V.S. Ganapathi  were released on bail and Waythamoorthy refuses to post bail as a sign of protest.

I hope nothing ugly happens on Sunday and its handled diplomatically ,i know its wishful thinking considering whats been happening lately but you need to have hope isn’t it?

Maintainance

Its time for maintenance.Thanks Danny for teaching me the stuff i need to know about having a proper site.This site was basically built like how some countries was first built…Just do what came to mind first!! Which is absolute rubbish!

Time to take it back to the drawing board and fix the little things i didn’t know was bad for the site.Gotta start somewhere and i think this is a decent start!

Its pretty much all back-end and the readers probably would hardly see any changes to the look and feel but I’m sure this exercise would help me learn!!(Some Images might be missing but im in the midst of fixing those)
