I didnt get to watch the whole opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics but i managed to catch the fireworks which i thought was brilliant! Now this comes up, ->
The global television audience of more than three billion people watched in amazement as a series of giant footprints outlined in fireworks proceeded through the night sky from Tiananmen Square to the Bird’s Nest stadium — except they were watching a computer animation.
Even the giant television screens within the stadium itself broadcast the fake images.
Stunned viewers thought they were watching the string of fireworks filmed from above by a helicopter.
But in reality they were watching a 3D graphics sequence that took almost a year to produce.
It even included a “camera shake” to mimic the effect of filming from a helicopter.
The dupe was revealed by China’s Beijing Times. Speaking to the paper, the man responsible for the animation said he was pleased with the result.
“Seeing how it worked out, it was still a bit too bright compared to the actual fireworks,” Gao Xiaolong told the newspaper.
“But most of the audience thought it was filmed live — so that was mission accomplished.”
The designers even added some haziness to simulate the polluted Beijing skyline.
How about that!! This is taking the whole Olympics to a new level!

I was doing my rounds today on the alternative media which gives us the stories the mainstream dont really like to talk about. Today i saw a article on Malaysiakini that Sharizat has declared Jihad against Anwar. I was a little surprised that the lady that could not win a parliament seat to the daughter of Anwar Ibrahim, Nurul Izzah now wants to take on the father?! Where do you think Nurul learnt what she knows 
Big call eh! Apparently she thinks that the country will not be stable if Pakatan and Anwar takes over from Barisan Nasional. I think she is bitterly wrong!! Its not what UMNO and Barisan Nasional think who should be rulling but the people of Malaysia. I always have the opinion that if a politician indulges about race and how they want to protect the right of race is simply not good enough.

Dear readers of politickler. If you noticed, there is a live graph that monitors the price of the global crude oil on the sidebar. This is a indicator of the world price so we know how much we are actually over paying right now. When i looked at the price while posting this it was standing at USD$114.31 and when we had the recent increase of 41% to RM2.70 a litre ,the price of crude oil was standing close at USD$150 a barrel.

There are more UMNO members joining PKR. In Bandar Tun Razak ,Norasida Silam who was the deputy chairman of the division and Azmi Hassan, a former deputy chairman both submitted their forms to the Menteri Besar of Selangor , Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim at his Bandar Tun Razak office. They were joint by 148 new supporters joining them in the cross over.
Why join PKR?
“Norasida wanted to join us because he said he could no longer tolerate the non-existence of democracy practice in Umno, for instance the quota system for party elections,” said Bandar Tun Razak PKR deputy chief Othman Karim.
“He said … he prefers to work for the people, not only for the Malays,” said Othman.
Sounds like a valid reason to me, what you think?

During the election period a familiar sight is the sea of blue of barisan nasional posters,flags,water bottles,umbrella’s,caps and even tshirts are given out like santa came early to almost everyone and anyone at sight. I always wondered where the heck all the money to buy these stuff comes from and till i saw this report today.
Apprently UMNO ordered and acknoledged the receipt of the order and havent paid up for what they owe the company.Kuala Lumpur High Court had last month ordered Umno to pay a whopping RM218 million claimed by Kelana Jaya-based Elegant Advisory.

Price of fuel is now is crazy with more than a 40% increase, it cant be easy on anyone’s pockets. NGV is a great alternative to fuel which is a fraction on the price minus the power. From reviews that i have heard from blogs, the power reduction is about 30% but considering the savings, its well worth it.
Petrol price stands at RM2.70 a litre and NGV is priced at only RM0.68 per litre.
However installing NGV is not always the cheapest affair. Let say i were to install NGV on my Hyundai Accent , it would cost me RM5850 for the installation. Of course there are several different standards in NGV installation.Kah Bintang, the distributor of Hyundai cars in Malaysia have started installing NGV in their new cars to help ease the burden and the kinda tanks they are installing?
