The King of Pop has passed away. Michael Jackson passed away early today and was declared dead at UCLA after suffering a cardiac arrest. YouTube is running a tribute and highlighting Michael Jacksons Channel.

Mike Tyson Gets Married

2 weeks ago i read a report that Mike Tyson lost his daughter in a freak accident. She choked to death on a cord or cable while playing on a treadmill in their home. The really depressed Mike Tyson decided to get married, yeap! 2 weeks after the death of his daughter!

The things these people do! Amuses me! On a sapare note, have you seen the stomach on the former boxing champ! Daddy’s growing a tummy!! :)

Air France 447, Where Are You?

Air France flight 447 from Rio to Paris, carrying 216 passengers and 12 crew, mysteriously disappeared early yesterday in heavy weather without sending any distress signal, four hours after taking off from Rio.

This is a serious tragedy! It seems like a page that has been taken of the series lost! The plance carrying216 passengers goes completely missing and it cant be detected! Brazilian military planes scouring the equatorial Atlantic today found a three mile path of wreckage in the ­Atlantic Ocean but is this the flight that is missing? The officials seem to think so.

The possibilities on how the plane went down so far are :

  • Hit by lightning
  • A ­terrorist act

Hopefully they officials who are working around the clock release some confirmation and the cause is discovered.

Halle Berry was the recipient of the Decades of Hotness Award last night at the Spike tv 2009 Guys Choice Awards at Sony Studios in Los Angeles.

Air New Zealand is Now A Match Maker!

When the going gets tough, survival instincts kicks in!! Air New Zealand has come up with a bizarre marketing promo to help drive in the sales.

In a new venture, coined “love at first flight”, the airline says it is aiming to help single Americans find New Zealand dates with a themed-flight headed for a dual hemisphere singles party.

How cool is that! A party up in the sky while you find a potential partner.

Passengers on the October 13 flight would board in Los Angeles, bound for Auckland, and would eventually arrive at Skycity’s Convention Centre for the Great Matchmaking Ball, Air New Zealand

While the local airlines are dropping prices to get new business, the international airlines are opting for something more innovative!

It be interesting if it works out eh! :)

Is Prabakaran Really Dead?

I was looking at some random sites to get confirmation of the death of the LTTE leader Prabakaran. People who have been following the updates have different versions of the story so i decided to check it out. What was interesting was the image of the alleged dead Prabakaran. It looked like he had a botox,went for a facial and had his face made up just before he got shot!

prabaharan2004He looks way younger now isnt it! For some reason the images of him dead don’t look real to me, almost like its some sorta dead dude who looks like him but not him! And what the give away to me was this statement :

Sri Lankan Media first announced that the militrary had killed Prabakaran while he escaped through ambulance. But later in afternoon they claimed that they found the body of Prabakaran from Nandikadal lagoon.

I understand the fact that the country has suffered tremendously but what I’m interested to know if this is for real or one of those stories that have been conveniently made up?

LTTE’s Velupillai Prabhakaran Shot Dead

May 18, Colombo: The LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was shot dead on Monday while trying to flee in an ambulance, news reports said.

The long standing Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam leader and the group seem to be on the brink of “extinction” after its leader Velupillai Prabhakaran was shot dead.I saw the news appearing on twitter via the Nutgraph and went over to the Sri Lankan news sites which confirmed of his death.

They seem very happy of this news with event a column on the online news site saying :

LankaPage congratulates President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Sri Lankan Security Forces for defeating terrorism. We honor the sacrifice of all Security Force Members who have lost their lives for this cause.

It must be good news for the majority of Sri Lanka but i have a question. If going out to kill a “terrorist” is the answer what does that make the killer?

ben-southallThe Queensland Tourism ran a awesome contest to find a caretaker for the island caretaker(Great Barrier Reef). There were over 34000 who applied for the position and the tourism board announced the winner: Ben Southall, 34, from UK

What does the caretaker do?

The Island Caretaker will live at Blue Pearl, a beautiful three-bedroom home on Hamilton Island and enjoy the private plunge pool/spa, sun lounges, and the traditional Aussie barbeque. Living above the Great Barrier Reef for six months, he will get a huge salary package of AUD$150,000 for the six-month contract. The job profile involves leisure blogging, snapping photos, feeding the fish….
